Job Opportunity: Electricians at Nucore Group
We are a leading provider of Electrical , Fire, Security & HVAC solutions across the North East of Scotland, Middle East and Africa. We deliver high-quality commercial fit-outs, reactive service, and compliance testing. As we continue to grow, We are seeking skilled Electricians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and Fire systems in commercial, Industrial and domestic buildings such as offices, colleges , retail stores, warehouses, manufacturing plants and other business or domestic facilities. This role requires a strong knowledge of electrical systems, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Job Role & Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain electrical systems and components in all types of environments
- Install Fire Alarm Systems ( Training will be provided)
- Carry out electrical testing and inspections in line with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Install containment systems (e.g. trunking, conduit, tray work)
- Ensure work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
- Liaise with clients, site managers, and other contractors
- Maintain accurate documentation including job sheets and test certificates
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, be self-motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, and enthusiastic.
- Professional demeanour with clear communication skills to effectively interact with clients.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- AM2 Assessment
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- ECS Card or SJIB Registered Electrician
- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in an electrical role.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations and risk assessments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- IT literate.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Motivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a long-serving team.
