About Priority Waste
(Initially based in Bedford (MK41) for the first 1–2 months, then relocating to our new Milton Keynes office)
Priority Waste is a fast-growing waste management specialist, handling general, hazardous and WEEE waste for customers across the UK. Our motto says it all — “your waste is our priority”. We’re now building out our office team, and this is a key early appointment as we grow. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, ambitious business at an exciting stage and to help shape how our customer service and sales function works.
The Role
As our Customer Service & Sales Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and a driving force in turning those enquiries into booked work. You’ll own first responses, gather the information needed to quote accurately, prepare standard quotations and follow customers through to a decision. It’s a busy, varied and rewarding role right at the heart of the business, with real scope to grow as the team expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries by email and telephone
- Gathering the quantities, container details, site information and supporting documents needed to price work accurately
- Preparing and issuing standard quotations, then following up to convert them into confirmed orders
- Chasing purchase orders, approvals and customer decisions to keep jobs moving
- Providing routine progress updates to customers and keeping records accurate and up to date
- Coordinating bookings and liaising with the wider team on collections and deliveries
- Escalating technical, commercial or relationship matters to the right person using clear, agreed guidelines
- Helping to build and improve our customer service and sales processes as the office team grows
About You
This role is all about attitude as much as aptitude. We’re looking for someone who is:
- A genuine team player — you enjoy working closely with colleagues and pulling together to get things done
- Professional — confident and courteous when dealing with customers and suppliers, both in writing and on the phone
- Highly organised — with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- Motivated — proactive and self-driven, taking ownership of your workload and seeing tasks through to completion
- Positive and enthusiastic — bringing energy and a can-do attitude to the team every single day
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets and business systems (full training given on ours)
- Ideally, experienced in customer service, sales support, coordination or administration — though the right attitude matters most
What We Offer
- A competitive salary of £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Full-time, Monday to Friday hours (9:00am – 5:30pm) — no weekends
- The chance to join at an exciting stage of growth and help shape a brand-new office team
- A supportive, friendly and down-to-earth working environment
