Due to continued growth, we are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team on a Full-Time basis.
Duties
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to clients in their own homes, promoting independence and improving quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment.
- Preparing meals and assisting with nutrition and hydration.
- Administering or assisting with medication in line with company policies.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Assisting with shopping and community access where required.
- Supporting clients with light household tasks.
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns promptly.
- Promoting dignity, choice, independence and safeguarding at all times.
- Following care plans, risk assessments and company policies.
- Working professionally with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have access to a reliable vehicle for work.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- Be able to work alternate weekends.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality care.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- Previous experience within domiciliary care, residential care, supported living or healthcare.
- Care Certificate.
- Medication administration experience.
- Manual handling training.
- Knowledge of person-centred care and safeguarding.
Full training will be provided for the right candidates.
