About the Role
Fabexi Equipment and Logistics Services Ltd provides heavy-equipment supply, equipment rental, transport coordination, logistics support and operational services.
We are looking for an organised, dependable and solutions-focused Logistics Coordinator to support the movement of equipment, materials and operational resources across customer and project locations.
The successful candidate will coordinate transport schedules, prepare logistics documentation, communicate with drivers and suppliers and monitor deliveries from collection through completion. You will work closely with operations, procurement, customers and external transport providers to ensure that equipment and materials are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
This mid-level position is suitable for candidates with experience in logistics, transport coordination, equipment operations, supply chain, warehousing or customer-service support.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Coordination: Arrange the collection and delivery of equipment, materials and operational supplies.
Delivery Scheduling: Prepare and maintain accurate transport schedules based on customer, project and operational requirements.
Driver Communication: Provide drivers and transport providers with collection details, delivery instructions and schedule updates.
Equipment Movements: Coordinate the movement of hired, purchased and returned equipment between suppliers, customers and operating sites.
Customer Updates: Keep customers informed about confirmed delivery times, delays, access requirements and completed movements.
Logistics Documentation: Prepare delivery notes, collection records, transport instructions and supporting documentation.
Supplier Coordination: Communicate with equipment suppliers, rental providers, warehouses and approved transport contractors.
Shipment Tracking: Monitor deliveries and collections and follow up on delays, missed appointments or incomplete movements.
Route Planning: Support practical route planning while considering distance, vehicle type, access restrictions and delivery deadlines.
Order Verification: Confirm that equipment descriptions, quantities, delivery locations and customer information are accurate.
Access Requirements: Gather site-access information, contact details, working hours and unloading instructions before delivery.
Issue Resolution: Investigate transport problems, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries and scheduling conflicts.
System Updates: Maintain accurate order, shipment, equipment and delivery information in company systems.
Cost Monitoring: Record transport charges, supplier quotations and additional logistics costs for review.
Performance Reporting: Prepare regular updates on delivery performance, outstanding movements, delays and logistics activity.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transport coordination, supply chain, equipment rental or a related role.
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills.
- Experience coordinating deliveries, collections or transport providers.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Professional communication skills when dealing with customers, drivers and suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping abilities.
- Confidence using email, spreadsheets and logistics or order-management systems.
- Ability to manage several deliveries and changing priorities.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm when schedules change or delays occur.
- Ability to work independently and as part of an operations team.
- Reliable and proactive approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related subject.
- Previous experience in equipment rental, construction logistics, freight or industrial services.
- Familiarity with transport-management, inventory or enterprise resource planning systems.
- Experience preparing delivery, shipping or customs documentation.
- Basic understanding of vehicle capacities, site access and equipment-handling requirements.
- Knowledge of supplier, warehouse and transport-provider coordination.
- Experience monitoring transport costs and supplier performance.
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not required.
Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
