The main objective of the CDP role will be to operate both independently and as part of a team to assemble and create the amazing food dishes we have on offer consistently following menu specifications reporting directly to the Head and Sous Chefs as well as FOH management. It is important that this role be met with drive, ambition, and most importantly a passion for delivering excellent quality food.
Key Objectives and Responsibilities
· The main responsibilities of the CDP will be in the preparation, assembly and cooking of all food items served in the site where they work.
· In this role you must deliver customer satisfaction by maintaining an exceptional standard of service and professionalism.
· The quality and consistency of all food items are a key element to making sure a successful operation of the business is maintained.
· Due to the open nature of the kitchen the CDP must set high standards of personal presentation and behaviour at all times.
· A positive attitude must be adopted towards teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the premises, and interacting productively with other departments.
· This role is also about passing on knowledge and you must be prepared to work with and set an excellent example for new and existing staff members. This is all part of our commitment to developing our teams within the company.
Operational Duties
· Preparing the station for the days events with all the key ingredients, as well as making sure the kitchen is well equipped with the necessary utensils and apparatus needed.
· Ensuring that all food items are of good quality, in date and prepped to a high standard.
· Ensure the entire kitchen is clean and hygienic, and remains that way for the entirety of service, making sure that at the end of the day it is cleaned down to an exceptional standard.
· Follow the recipes and presentation specifications as dictated by the line managers and as written into food specification books
· Restock all food items throughout the day making notes of stock running low for future orders, communicating the stock levels to line managers, occasionally getting involved in the ordering process.
· Ensure minimum kitchen wastage
· Ensuring you are following procedure and practising protocol in health and safety reporting anything pertinent to line managers.
· The CDP will also be required to occasionally run the pass in the absence of the Head or Sous Chef and must operate to an excellent standard in each section of the kitchen, able to independently organise and manage the smooth running of multiple areas of the kitchen.
