Job description
We are looking for an apprentice to join our team as a Finance Administrator whilst completing a L3 Data Technician Apprenticeship Standard. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in data and finance while gaining practical workplace experience and working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
You will be responsible for supporting the finance function through accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining records, assisting with reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with financial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase and sales invoices.
Maintain financial records and filing systems.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable activities.
Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
Support month-end and year-end processes.
Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets.
Prepare data audits
Collate and manipulate data to create live working reports
Support audits and respond to finance queries.
As an apprentice you’ll:
complete a L3 Data Technician apprenticeship standard
have regular remote one to one sessions with a dedicated digital skills trainer
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get hands-on experience in a real job
study for 6 hours of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
be on a career path with lots of future potential
be entitled to a TOTUM membership
Future Prospects
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you may be offered a permanent position within the company
Skills required
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
Qualifications required
- GCSEs or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
- Business Administration qualification (desirable).
Personal qualities
