The successful candidate will operate a planned, preventative, and safe maintenance service on all equipment on site.
Responsible for corrective, planned, and preventative maintenance tasks of production plant to minimise downtime
Carry out predictive maintenance tasks and report on findings
Maintain and implement planned maintenance schedules and routines for all equipment
Ensure all plant and equipment is operationally safe and complies with relevant legislation
Order plant parts as and when required
Manage maintenance contractors onsite to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental regulations
Maintain a tidy and secure work environment
Provide regular information to assist management with decision-making
Maintain files and administration as required to comply with office processes and procedures
Ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the maintenance department
Minimum 3 years’ experience in plant maintenance, preferably within a heavy industry/engineering environment
Hands-on approach, preferably with welding experience
Capable of troubleshooting mechanical downtime issues and resolving problems to root cause
Experience with a wide range of production plant
Experience in maintenance task planning, scheduling, and recording
Experience in electrical diagnostics/installs desirable
Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and business requirements
Willing to undertake professional, organisational, and administrative duties efficiently and cost-effectively
Capable of undertaking and/or assisting with mechanical tasks
