We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store
- Provide knowledgeable advice on product features and benefits to enhance customer experience
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, or digital payments
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive and organised displays
- Restock shelves and ensure stock levels are adequate throughout the shift
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently
- Keep the sales area clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Support team members during busy periods and contribute positively to a collaborative working environment
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanour
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Organised with good attention to detail to manage stock levels and display standards
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in helping customers find suitable products
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
