Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of outdoor and construction-related tasks, including landscape maintenance, gardening, and general site upkeep. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in horticulture, construction, and maintenance activities within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilising.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively.
- Support construction activities including excavation, site preparation, and material handling.
- Use machinery such as excavators under supervision for various site tasks.
- Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper functioning of horticultural installations.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the installation of garden features or construction elements as required.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to minimise risks on-site.
- Support team members with general labouring duties to ensure smooth workflow across projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or construction is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems are advantageous.
- Experience operating machinery such as excavators is preferred but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Knowledge of horticulture or gardening practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality work outcomes.
- Relevant construction experience or related qualifications will be considered an asset.
- A proactive attitude with the willingness to learn new skills related to site maintenance and development.
