Job Overview
We are looking for a organised and proactive Buyer's Administrator to support our Procurement team with the day-to-day administration of purchasing and operations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate records are maintained, supporting project administration, coordinating purchase requirements, and assisting the Buyers with a variety of administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining all project-on-hire reports, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Updating and maintaining digital files and the OneDrive folder structure to ensure documents are organised and easily accessible.
- Updating and maintaining Smart Waste records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Keeping the muckaway and aggregate cost tracker current, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
- Coordinating and arranging site inductions for new personnel.
- Booking deliveries for construction sites and liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
- Monitoring and managing PPE stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies are available across projects.
- Providing administrative support to the Buyer and Senior Buyer across procurement activities.
- Assisting with the preparation, filing and maintenance of procurement documentation and records.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner.
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required.
Essentials
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook and Word).
- A willingness to learn and develop within a busy procurement environment.
Desirables
- Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role is desirable but not essential.
- Experience within the construction or procurement industry would be advantageous but is not required.
Pay: £28,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
