Annual Salary: £32,000
Working pattern: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours/week, 5 days out of 7
Shift times: Varies, but will be 7.5 hours/day

We're seeking a dedicated Clinical Cleaning Lead to oversee the delivery of cleaning services at Catterick Integrated Care Centre. Leading a team of cleaning professionals, you'll play a critical role in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and healthcare staff while ensuring full compliance with NHS cleanliness standards.
About you:
You are a hands-on leader who leads by example and takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards. You have experience managing teams within a healthcare, clinical or NHS setting and understand the vital role that cleanliness and infection prevention play in supporting patient care.
Organised, proactive and solution-focused, you're confident managing rotas, responding to changing priorities and developing team members to achieve their best.

What you’ll do:
As the Clinical Cleaning Lead, you'll provide visible, hands-on leadership across the cleaning operation, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with NHS cleanliness and infection control standards.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading, motivating, and supporting the cleaning team daily.

Managing staff rotas, annual leave, sickness cover, and resource allocation to ensure operational requirements are consistently met.

Conducting regular cleanliness audits across clinical, public, and administrative areas.

Maintaining compliance records, audit documentation, and cleaning schedules.

Ensuring all cleaning activities are carried out in accordance with NHS standards, COSHH regulations and infection prevention protocols.

Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of team members.

Delivering daily briefings and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

Managing cleaning consumables, PPE, and equipment stock levels.

Working closely with clinical teams to support specialist cleaning and decontamination requirements.

Promoting a strong culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the service.
