Business Development Executive

Salary: £35,000–£38,000 plus bonus scheme

About the Role
Plus Packaging is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join our sales team.
This is a key role within the business, focused on supporting sales growth, building strong customer relationships, following up opportunities, booking appointments, and helping develop both new and existing accounts.
You will work closely with the Business Development Manager to manage customer opportunities, follow up quotes, maintain regular customer contact, and ensure the sales pipeline is kept moving. The role suits someone who is confident on the phone, highly organised, and motivated by targets, customer service, and winning new business.

Main Responsibilities
- Making outbound sales calls to customers and prospects
- Following up quotes and open opportunities
- Booking appointments for the Business Development Manager
- Supporting existing customers and identifying opportunities to increase spend
- Preparing customer information, samples, and quotes ahead of visits
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date
- Helping achieve sales, margin, call, appointment, and pipeline targets
- Delivering excellent service in every customer interaction
Requirements
- Previous sales, customer service, account management, or telesales experience would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general business software
- A positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent preferred
