Position Overview
Join our Engineering team at Ansty Park and play a key role in delivering advanced Thermal Management Systems for aerospace applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-performance heat exchanger technology, supporting complex engineering projects and new product introduction programmes from concept through validation.
In this role, you’ll lead challenging technical projects, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, performance expectations, cost targets, and programme schedules. You’ll apply strong mechanical engineering principles to the design, development, and validation of innovative products while managing technical scope, risks, and deliverables.
You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Programme Management teams, as well as customers and suppliers, to drive technical coordination, solve engineering challenges, and support the successful delivery of world-class aerospace solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Define project objectives by reviewing proposals, product requirements, and customer specifications

Lead Design Engineering projects and NPI programmes, including scope, plans, schedules, risks, resources, and deliverables

Produce and review technical reports and engineering documentation to support compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards

Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Programme Management to support development, validation, and production readiness

Review and contribute to component designs, analysis outputs, test plans, procedures, validation activities, and technical reports

Coordinate engineering changes through formal review processes and support continuous improvement

Support customer and supplier engagement through technical reviews, project updates, issue resolution, and requirement clarification
Essential skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for this position

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

5+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or related industries

Solid understanding of engineering principles, product design, and industry standards, with the ability to apply knowledge across technical disciplines

Demonstrated project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage scope, schedule, and cost objectives

Experience with 3D CAD, engineering analysis/simulation tools, risk analysis methods (e.g. FMEA) and design for manufacturing preferred

Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset with experience applying engineering best practices and process improvements

Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and collaborate with cross-functions teams, customers, and suppliers

Proficiency with standard engineering and project management tools and systems
