Job Overview
CNC Skilled Setter / Operator
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Mills and Lathes, specifically working on Dahlih 1250 vertical and Doosan MYNX machining centres utilizing FANUC controls.
Hours & Compensation
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: * Monday to Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30
- Friday: 06:00 – 10:00
- Pay Rate: Up to £14.86 per hour
Key Responsibilities & Essential Skills
- Machine Setup: Set up machines accurately from engineering setup sheets.
- Program Loading: Load, prove, and execute CNC programs.
- Tooling & Offsets: Set tooling and confidently adjust offsets.
- Quality & Inspection: Continuously monitor machine operation and inspect your own work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and fully understand technical engineering drawings.
- Precision: Experience working to tight tolerances on low- to medium-batch production.
- Maintenance: Perform basic, routine daily maintenance checks on machinery.
Experience & Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar CNC setting and operating role.
- Required: Proficient with FANUC controls.
- Required: Experience with CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Desirable: Experience operating a cylindrical grinder is a distinct advantage.
Pay: Up to £15.40 per hour
