Overall purpose of the role
The Senior Financial Analyst will coordinate and participate in the design, testing, implementation, and review of automated financial and accounting systems Elite 3E and processes. The candidate will act as the functional owner of the Elite 3E Practice Management System, ensuring its integrity, optimisation and effective use across the firm.
This role will provide end-to-end functional ownership of 3E, ensure financial data integrity and regulatory compliance, lead system optimisation post go-live, and act as the bridge between Finance, IT and external suppliers.
Objectives of this role
Provide BAU and Support oversight thus own the day-to-day 3E support model. Ensure clear triage between functional and technical issues. Provide second/third-line support on complex matters. Also support month-end and year-end processes.
Identify and implement process improvements within 3E. Work with others in the finance team to reduce manual workarounds and improve efficiency.
Improve reporting capability and data quality and support BI Development and validation.
Lead functional design for enhancements and upgrades. Manage 3E releases and regression testing. Maintain and continuously improve a 3E test pack (core, custom, integrations). Assess system impact of firm initiatives. Work with IT on integration changes.
Act as trusted advisor to Finance leadership. Provide clarity to Partners on system capabilities and limitations. Manage supplier relationship with Elite and future integrations. Collaborate with IT to ensure resilience and performance.
Required skills and qualifications
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Direct experience implementing, running and optimising Elite 3E.
Experience working across Finance and IT teams.
An understanding of accounting principles and clean audit trail and documented control framework.
Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used.
SQL / reporting knowledge.
Experience of cloud 3E environments.
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience. (desirable but not essential).
