Start your career in invoice finance operations
Apollo is looking for an Operations Support Assistant to join our Manchester office. This is a genuine entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in invoice finance operations, client service or credit control while receiving structured training and day-to-day support from experienced colleagues.
You will join the Operations Department and work closely with the Relationship Management and Credit Control teams. Your work will help us confirm that invoices are valid and payable, maintain accurate information, resolve straightforward queries and provide a reliable service to clients and their customers.
You do not need previous finance or credit-control experience. We are interested in your communication, accuracy, organisation and willingness to learn. Experience gained in retail, hospitality, customer service, a call centre, administration, education or volunteering can all be relevant.
What you will learn and do
You will be trained to send and follow up invoice-verification notices, check information and maintain accurate records. You will support a portfolio of client customers by confirming invoices and payment terms, providing copy invoices and helping colleagues resolve queries that could delay payment.
The role also involves professional communication with customers by telephone, email and post; processing transactions within the portfolio; supporting colleagues across Operations, Relationship Management and Credit Control; and attending training, team meetings and monthly portfolio reviews.
This is an important operational and risk-control role. You will not be expected to know everything on day one, but you will be expected to ask questions, follow agreed processes and take responsibility for completing your work accurately.
