We are currently looking to recruit a Site Supervisor here at NPB Utilities Limited to Supervise our busy teams across our framework contracts with our clients across the South of England.
The ideal candidate would need to have experience within utilities, ideally clean water and be responsible for the day-to-day management, safety, scheduling, and performance of the jobs assigned. The candidate will assist the Operations Manager from mobilising teams to delivering day to day performance of our teams for our clients to whom we provide a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service to.
Work schedule will be 45 hours a week Monday to Friday however there is a possibility of some weekend work and on-call basis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the Workstream.
- Receive instructions on behalf of the Company, issue instructions and provide direction in order to ensure successful delivery of projects
- Follow any other reasonable requests as required by Management.
- Provide clear leadership to the teams that results in the delivery of all contract targets and drive ownership of this delivery to individual team members.
- Supervise all resources / teams assigned to you (Both subcontractors and direct labour) within the contract to achieve the productivity and efficiency targets set by our client and their clients.
- Compiling and checking reports.
- Completing and submitting site audits. Identify and manage risks within your teams and alert your Line Manager.
- Carry out site inductions, tool-box talks and the coaching of staff in construction techniques, ensuring appropriate use of PPE. Checking PPE, training certifications and competence whilst ensuring plant and equipment is safe to use.
- Dealing with customer complaints/queries and ensuring your team strives towards exemplary customer service. Promote near miss reporting, ensuring issues raised are resolved and lessons learned are shared to embed a positive health and safety culture to include zero harm and zero utility strikes.
- Carry out post safety incident review investigations.
- Carry out annual appraisals and regular one to ones with direct reports.
- Maximising all opportunities to achieve the best productivity and efficiencies, related to management of CDM, planning of labour & plant and resources. Survey jobs, price accurately and see job through from start to finish whilst managing it safely and efficiently and meeting timelines.
Candidates Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Must have previous substantial and extensive experience in Utilities/Water R&M and Main-laying.
NRSWA Supervisor
EUSR Water Hygiene & SHEA Card.
Valid Full UK driving licence.
SMSTS or SSSTS accreditation
Experience in dealing with RAMS, control permits and temporary works on site.
A strong understanding and experience in dealing with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and regulations.
Proven track record with demonstrating a positive attitude in being proactive / problem solving with day to day site issues.
IT Literate.
Excellent communication skills.
Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
