Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Breakfast Chef Assistant to join our culinary team. This role involves supporting the preparation and presentation of breakfast dishes in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to delivering a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Assist with food preparation for breakfast service, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and assisting chefs during meal service
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils and equipment
- Help with plating and presentation of breakfast dishes to ensure visual appeal
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Serve breakfast items to guests in accordance with service standards
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to work mornings as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
