Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Sales & Office Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of our machinery business. This varied role combines sales support, customer service, stock management, and general office administration. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, manage incoming enquiries and sales leads, coordinate office activities, and ensure accurate stock control.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Manage and distribute sales leads to the appropriate team members.
- Prepare quotations, sales documentation, and customer correspondence.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update CRM systems.
- Monitor and manage office stock, parts inventory, and consumable supplies.
- Coordinate stock movements and liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and availability.
- Process orders and assist with the smooth administration of sales transactions.
- Support the management team with diary coordination, meeting arrangements, and general administrative tasks.
- Maintain filing systems, records, and office documentation.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, engineers, and sales representatives to ensure effective communication.
- Assist with reporting, data entry, and general office operations.
- Help maintain a professional and organised office environment.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in administration, sales support, office coordination, or a similar role.
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with CRM systems or stock management software would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within machinery, engineering, construction, agricultural, or industrial sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
