Expect a curated wine list, punchy cocktails, and a simple, elegant menu built and delivered with real attention to detail.

Job Overview
As a Barback, you work to support both the floor and bar service, keeping the engine running seamlessly during high-volume periods. You will support the bartending and front-of-house teams to maintain a fast, clean, and warm environment where guests receive unforgettable experiences from the moment they step through the door. This role is ideal for an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in drinks, dynamic service, and building a strong foundation for a long-term career in hospitality!

Responsibilities
- Maintain a seamless floor and bar operation by providing swift, energetic, and proactive support to bartenders and front-of-house staff during busy shifts.
- Keep the bar fully stocked with ice, glassware, garnishes, spirits, and essential supplies, proactively anticipating needs before service peaks.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables and bar seating quickly to ensure a welcoming environment and smooth guest flow throughout the space.
- Collect, wash, polish, and restock glassware to high standards, ensuring the bar team never runs out of clean service tools.
- Assist with stock management by receiving deliveries, rotating stock using FIFO principles, and organizing back-of-house storage areas.
- Support opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures, ensuring all cleaning duties, waste disposal, and restocks meet health and safety standards.
- Welcome arriving guests with a warm, authentic presence, helping them feel comfortable and guiding them to tables when needed.
- Work collaboratively across front-of-house and kitchen teams to maintain momentum, accuracy, and an exceptional guest atmosphere in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or fast-paced hospitality environment is desirable, though a strong work ethic and eager attitude are most essential.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, drinks, and wine, with a desire to learn and build a long-term career in the industry.
- Strong organizational skills and physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy stock, and move quickly under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with an approachable, reliable, and positive presence.
- High attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-organized workspace.
- Full flexibility to work dynamic shift patterns, including late evenings, weekends, and key holidays.
Pay: £12.81-£13.81 per hour
