Team Leader - The role:
We are looking for a Team Leader to lead the Enable and Empower team to support the individuals
who use the service with empowerment, self-help skills and life progression opportunities. Within
this part of the service, our teams support individuals within a studio environment with ongoing
progressive activities and working within the community.
The service has recently been redesigned to allow a broader and deeper focus on individuals having
different experiences and opportunities, and with an experienced team of care professionals, and
some newly created roles to help the service reach its full potential.
In addition to this as our Team Leader you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Manager with the management, development, coordination, and growth of
the Enable & Explore service.
- Developing a team of Support Workers, conducting regular supervision, appraisals, and
progress reviews.
- Ensuring effective communication is maintained through supervisions, team meetings and
handovers for the area responsible for.
- Coordinating training, induction, care certificate workbooks and observations.
- Support the Service Manager with planning staff need and usage for efficiency and service
delivery.
- Driving high levels of staff engagement and morale in the team.
- Management of any people concerns, such as absence management, performance concerns.
- Managing team and resources in line with agreed budgets.
- Ensuring service delivery is co-produced with individuals we support, their families and other
stakeholders.
- Ensuring that services users are always safeguarded through adequate risk assessments
being undertaken for an individual.
- Work in conjunction with the Activity Lead, to provide an activity program for the individuals
we support.
