- We have a vacancy for a Nursery Kitchen Assistant which is Monday to Friday, 30 hours a week, all year round. Our shift times are 10am - 4pm.

Marlborough Day Nursery is a family-owned private day nursery based in the center of Coalville in Leicestershire. We offer quality care and education for children from birth to 5 years. Our nursery boasts fantastic facilities including 2 outdoor areas, large indoor sports hall, library, soft play and a sensory room. Responsibilities
- Assist the Cook in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals for the children.
- Support in catering to special dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences.
- Maintain rigorous food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Assist with kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and delivery checks.
- Attend regular training to support and enhance your role.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and care teams to ensure children’s dietary needs are met efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment in accordance with "Safer Food, Better Business" guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a kitchen assistant in a nursery, catering or hospitality setting.
- Food qualifications or relevant training.
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety standards.
- A friendly, collaborative approach and a passion for working in a child-centered environment.
Successful candidates will be required to provide two references and copies of training certificates. They must also undertake an enhanced DBS check or be subscribed to the update service.
