Spinal Injury Carer
Chippenham, Wiltshire
7 days a week. Days 9am - 9pm. Nights 9pm - 9am
We are looking for experienced Spinal Carers to provide 1:1 care for a middle aged gentleman with a spinal injury in Chippenham. This role is ideal for someone experienced with spinal care and who has a bubbly, positive personality who enjoys building a good rapport. 7 days a week with 12 hour day shifts and 12 hour nights shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full personal care and daily living support
- Safe manual handling and mobility assistance using hoist
- Recognise and manage Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD)
- Medication administration
- Support with catheter, bowel and bladder care programmes
- Maintain accurate care documentation
Essential Requirements
- Proven spinal injury experience
- Experience managing Autonomic Dysreflexia
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Medication competency and manual handling training
- Professional, reliable, and calm under pressure
