Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Pub Bartender to join our lively team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Previous restaurant or bar experience is preferred, along with a good understanding of food safety standards and responsible serving practices. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service throughout their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and stock levels
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to responsible serving policies
- Manage cash register operations, process payments accurately, and handle tips appropriately
- Restock bar supplies as needed during shifts to ensure smooth service flow
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the pub during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards customers
