Flapjackery is an award-winning business, specialising in handmade gluten-free flapjacks, chocolates and gifts.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-presented and commercially minded Shows & Events Exhibitor to represent Flapjackery at shows and events throughout the year.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys meeting people, selling, working independently and delivering excellent customer service. You will be responsible for setting up and running our Flapjackery stand, actively engaging with customers and maximising sales throughout each event.
The role will involve regular travel, weekend working and, for some events, overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Flapjackery professionally at shows, food festivals, markets and other events
- Set up and prepare the Flapjackery stand ready for trading
- Actively engage with customers and promote the Flapjackery product range
- Drive sales through excellent customer service, product knowledge, sampling and upselling
- Work towards event sales targets and help maximise the commercial performance of each show
- Ensure the stand is attractive, fully stocked and presented to Flapjackery's brand standards throughout the event
- Process customer transactions accurately using our EPOS card payment systems
- Monitor stock levels during events and replenish displays as required
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation
- Assist with packing down the stand and equipment at the end of each event
- Ensure equipment, stock and display materials are cared for and accounted for
- Work closely with the Shows & Events team and wider Flapjackery team
- Provide feedback following events, including sales performance, customer feedback and opportunities for improvement
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident, friendly and comfortable approaching and engaging with customers
- Enthusiastic about sales and delivering excellent customer service
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Commercially aware and motivated by achieving sales targets
- Well presented and a strong ambassador for the Flapjackery brand
- Comfortable working in a busy event environment
- Flexible regarding working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays
- Happy to travel to events across the region and further afield
- Physically able to assist with setting up stands, moving stock and packing equipment
- Able to remain positive and professional during long and busy trading days
Previous experience in retail, sales, food, hospitality, markets, festivals or events would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
