The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of retail customers. You’ll represent the Irwin’s Bakery brand, ensuring our products are well presented, available, and supported through excellent instore activation. You will also act as the main support for the sales team by assisting them with administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of customer presentations, business reviews and account plans.
- Monitor customer sales, forecasts, budgets and performance against agreed targets.
- Support promotional planning, new product launches and customer-specific initiatives.
- Act as main support for the sales team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships at point of purchase with existing retail customers.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Conduct regular customer visits to maximise product availability and visibility.
- Collection of delivery dockets (PODs) from key customers.
- Assist with the organisation of trade shows and events.
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s degree/ HND in Business, Marketing or a related field or 2 years’ experience in sales/marketing role
· Driving licence
· IT Literate to include experience with Microsoft Packages
· Ability to work well under pressure and against tight deadlines
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
· Organised with excellent time management skills.
· Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset.
