Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept spotless, sanitized, and organized to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with cleaning dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Help manage waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a clean workspace
- Restock supplies such as utensils, ingredients, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and maintain hygiene standards
- Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with basic hospitality duties when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
