We're looking for a motivated Administrator to join our growing European VAT team in Melton, Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career or looking to develop new skills in a specialist industry.
No previous VAT experience is required. We provide comprehensive in-house training and ongoing support, giving you the opportunity to build expertise in European VAT compliance while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.
For candidates who demonstrate commitment and potential, there is the opportunity to undertake the internationally recognised ADIT (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) qualification in the future, fully funded by the business, creating a genuine pathway into a specialist tax career.
The Role
As a VAT Administrator, you'll play an important role in ensuring our clients remain compliant with their European VAT obligations. Working within a close-knit team, you'll process client information, prepare documentation, submit VAT returns using our automated systems, and help keep projects running smoothly and on schedule.
This is an office-based role suited to someone who enjoys structured work, takes pride in accuracy, and is keen to learn and develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new and existing client documentation accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and submit European VAT returns using our automated software and internal systems
- Review data for completeness and identify any discrepancies or missing information
- Work closely with your supervisor and wider team to meet filing deadlines and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and clients by email and telephone when required
- Follow established processes while contributing ideas for improving efficiency and accuracy
- Develop a strong understanding of European VAT compliance through ongoing training and practical experience
