J’s Burger is a gourmet burger restaurant specialising in freshly prepared, high-quality gourmet burgers.
We are looking for an experienced Front of House Team Member to join our team.
You will be one of the main points of contact for our customers, so we’re looking for someone who is friendly, confident, reliable and able to work at pace.
This is a fast-paced environment, particularly during busy periods, so you must be comfortable managing multiple orders while maintaining excellent customer service.
Previous experience working in a restaurant, takeaway, fast-food or similar hospitality environment is required.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Greeting and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
Taking customer orders accurately
Processing cash and card payments
Learning our menu and confidently answering customer questions
Upselling sides, drinks, extras and meal options
Preparing and packing takeaway and delivery orders
Checking orders carefully before handing them to customers or delivery drivers
Communicating with the kitchen team to ensure orders are prepared correctly
Managing customer enquiries and resolving minor issues professionally
Keeping the front counter and customer areas clean and presentable
Restocking drinks, sauces, packaging and other supplies
Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
Supporting the team during busy service periods
Completing opening and closing duties
What We’re Looking For
Previous hospitality experience is required.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience in a restaurant, takeaway, fast-food or similar environment
Has excellent customer service skills
Is confident taking orders and handling payments
Is friendly, polite and professional
Can work quickly and accurately under pressure
Has good communication skills
Is reliable and punctual
Works well as part of a team
Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Is flexible and willing to help the team when needed
Experience working in a busy burger restaurant or takeaway would be an advantage.
