At Three Pines Academy, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to Think, Build and Create.
We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and energetic Engineering Club Instructors to deliver exciting after-school Engineering Clubs in primary schools across Walthamstow.
Using our structured curriculum and LEGO® Education resources, you’ll guide children through hands-on engineering challenges, helping them explore real engineering concepts including gears, levers, pulleys, mechanics and simple physics—all while having fun.
No engineering teaching experience is required. We’ll provide you with full training, detailed lesson plans and all the equipment you need to deliver engaging and rewarding sessions.
About the Role
As an Engineering Club Instructor, you’ll inspire children through practical learning and creativity while building their confidence and problem-solving skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging after-school Engineering Clubs in local primary schools.
- Guiding children as they build LEGO® engineering models.
- Encouraging teamwork, creativity and independent thinking.
- Creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment.
- Representing Three Pines Academy professionally within our partner schools.
Working Hours
This is a flexible part-time role that’s perfect alongside university, freelance work, teaching or another job.
- Sessions take place Monday to Friday.
- Clubs typically start between 3:15- 3:30 pm.
- Each session lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Additional opportunities may be available during school holidays as Three Pines Academy continues to grow.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is

✔ Friendly, enthusiastic and positive.
✔ Reliable, punctual and professional.
✔ Confident leading small groups.
✔ Interested in STEM, engineering or construction.
✔ Happy travelling to primary schools within Walthamstow.
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, childcare or similar) is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
