We are looking for tutors of maths and the natural sciences, for one-to-one tutoring of young people in Bristol.
Ideally, you'd have:
- Some experience teaching maths, physics, chemistry, or biology (or a combination of these);
- Understanding of the school curriculum for these subjects (or certain levels of it);
- Deep understanding of the concepts and principles behind maths and/or the sciences, and ability to transmit these to young people (this is the most important).
You will need:
- An undergraduate degree (or be studying for one currently, ideally in the maths or sciences);
- A-levels in maths or the natural sciences;
- Authorisation to work in the UK;
- The ability to get to the BS5 area, or other parts of Bristol, regularly.
We're looking for people who could visit students in-person in Bristol and also work online, but please do apply either way. If you've got experience as a teacher and have QTS, even better, but that's not a requirement. The most important thing is to be able to help young people improve their understanding and application of mathematical and scientific concepts and techniques.
