Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sandwich Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy retail outlet. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Manage and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment and providing training where necessary
- Oversee stock levels, ordering supplies, and merchandising products attractively to maximise sales
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints with professionalism, maintaining excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Implement sales strategies to increase revenue and promote special offers or new products
- Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and assist in achieving financial targets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and company policies
- Organise staff rotas, manage time effectively, and ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
- Support administrative tasks such as payroll, record keeping, and inventory management
Requirements
- Proven management or supervisory experience within the retail or food service industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock control
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers
- Experience in sales management, customer service, and team motivation
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and basic bookkeeping
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Previous experience in retail management or similar roles is highly desirable
