Newbury Assistant Retail Manager
Temptation Gifts is a growing retail business based in the Home Counties. We have 7 shops and 3 websites. We are a family owned business, operating since 1983 and we currently have an opportunity for a customer focused and sales driven person to join our team in Newbury at Assistant Manager level.
- 30 hours per week (working across a seven day rota)
Hours - The Store opens at 9.15am and closes at 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and operates 10.00 to 4.00 on a Sunday
We need someone able to offer full flexibility across the week, and there may be opportunities to work additional hours over peak times and to cover holidays etc.
We are looking for someone with a solid, successful background in retail sales in a busy, High Street environment. You will be used to leading from the front and 'getting the job done'.
Together with the Store Manager you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining all standards in the store, for driving sales and controlling costs.
We operate seven days a week and obviously weekend working is a given in a retail setting but you will be able to book weekends off on a regular basis.
Do you have experience in the following areas?
- Retail sales - at least two years
- Day to day management of a shop floor (ie supervising a team) -at least one year
- Visual presentation - stock display and window dressing
- Stock control
- Engaging Customer Service
This is a permanent position and interviews will only be offered to experienced retailers with some supervisory skills.
