Envirowales Limited, a leading lead acid battery recycling plant based in Ebbw Vale, South Wales, is looking for a Transport Planner to join our friendly team. What You’ll Be Doing:
· Planning and managing transport schedules to help ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently, even when demand changes.
· Reviewing and optimising transport routes to support cost-effective and time-efficient operations.
· Working closely with suppliers and customers to understand transport needs and keep everything well-coordinated.
· Keeping drivers informed of schedules, route changes and any day-to-day operational updates.
· Supporting compliance with UK transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and safe handling procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
· Previous experience in transport planning, logistics or a similar coordination role.
· A good understanding of UK transport regulations and day-to-day compliance requirements.
· Clear and confident communication skills when working with customers, suppliers, drivers and colleagues.
· Good IT skills, ideally with experience using transport management software or fleet management systems.
· An understanding of vehicle and trailer inspection scheduling, helping to keep the fleet safe, compliant and well maintained.
