Role Overview
Anglian Demolition & Asbestos Limited are seeking an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager, with responsibility for managing demolition projects across East Anglia.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the safe, efficient and commercially effective delivery of demolition contracts from pre-start through to completion. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong demolition knowledge, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, site teams, subcontractors and client relationships.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
· A valid CCDO Demolition Manager Black Card
· A minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a demolition management role
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the demolition industry.
· Strong practical knowledge of demolition methods, sequencing and site operations
· Good understanding of health & safety requirements within the demolition industry
· Experience managing demolition site teams and subcontractors
· Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities
· Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
· Full UK driving licence
· Ability and willingness to travel to sites throughout East Anglia
· IDE membership (desirable)
· SMSTS certification (desirable)
· SEATS certification (desirable)
· First Aid certificate (desirable)
Key Responsibilities
The Demolition Contracts Manager will be responsible for:
· Managing demolition contracts from mobilisation through to completion
· Planning and coordinating labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors
· Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
· Overseeing Site Managers, Supervisors and demolition operatives
· Conducting regular site visits and monitoring project performance
· Carrying out site audits and progress completion reports, in conjunction with other contracting management.
· Ensuring works comply with RAMS, demolition plans, Company procedures and relevant legislation
· Liaising with clients, principal contractors, consultants and other stakeholders
· Reviewing project programmes and coordinating works to meet agreed deadlines
· Monitoring project costs, variations and commercial performance
· Identifying potential delays, risks and additional works at an early stage
· Working closely with estimating, purchasing and operational contracting teams
· Ensuring appropriate documentation and site records are maintained
· Monitoring agency and subcontractor performance and compliance
· Supporting the preparation and review of demolition plans, method statements and risk assessments in conjunction with the Contracts Director.
· Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, environmental management and waste segregation
· Attending pre-start, progress and client meetings as required
· Managing project handovers and ensuring contracts are completed to the required standard
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an established demolition professional who understands the practical and commercial demands of delivering demolition projects.
You will be confident managing people and projects, comfortable dealing directly with clients, and capable of making effective operational decisions. You should have a strong safety-first approach while maintaining focus on programme, productivity and commercial performance.
A CCDO Demolition Manager Black Card and at least two years' demolition management experience are mandatory requirements for this position.
Working Location
The role will be based in Attleborough, Norfolk, with regular travel to demolition projects throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and the wider East Anglia region.
Hours:
47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:30am-5:00pm.
