Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5T Driver to join our BCHS London City team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving and delivery experience to varied customer sites. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent communication skills and adhering to all safety regulations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values professionalism, safety, and customer service. This role offers excellent work-life balance with a 40 hour work week across a 6am - 3pm schedule, with a competitive salary and quarterly bonus scheme as well as other great benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 7.5T commercial vehicle for deliveries to a variety of customer sites.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and compliant to site health and safety requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and delivery details.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during operation of the vehicle.
- Assist with moving or repositioning equipment or goods as required within warehouse or job sites.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for 7.5T vehicles.
- Proven experience in commercial delivery driving.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
