Pennywise Payroll Ltd is a busy payroll bureau specialising in payroll services for the construction industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our friendly office team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in payroll. Previous payroll experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with customer enquiries.
- Respond to email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Process new operative registrations.
- Complete Right to Work and ECS checks.
- Add new employees to the Merit payroll system.
- Prepare weekly payroll spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Carry out general administrative duties.
- Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Payroll experience is an advantage but not essential.

Important Information
This is a fully office-based role. Our office is located in the rural village of Little Tey, where public transport is limited, so own transport and a full UK driving licence are essential.
A three-month probationary period applies.
