We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Team Leader - Accommodation to join our Housing Options and Wellbeing service. This is a key operational role, responsible for supporting a team of six staff in a busy, fast-paced environment across Emergency Accommodation, Temporary Accommodation, private rented sector properties managed at arm's length from the Council, and accommodation-related revenue activity. The role also involves close working with colleagues across Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Neighbourhood Housing, Rough Sleeping, and wider housing services and partner agencies.
The successful candidate will have strong tenancy management knowledge as well as knowledge of the relevant Acts, with experience of working with homeless customers and previous management skills welcomed. You must also understand the range of support needs of a homelessness customer.
We are looking for an organised, confident, and experienced individual who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and support effective service delivery in a demanding environment to ensure a high standard of customer service. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

The role will require working from our Prevention Hub in Eastbourne, where we work alongside key partners to deliver a collaborative model to prevent and resolve homelessness. You may also work from other locations across Lewes District and Eastbourne, with opportunities for some home working.
