Space & Time, a media planning and buying group of agencies, is seeking a qualified FP&A Manager (ACA/ACCA) on a 6‑month contract to drive a finance transformation programme across a lean SME environment.
This is not a traditional FP&A reporting role. The mandate is to help modernise the finance function, reduce manual processes, and enhance data quality and insight through improved systems utilisation and automation.
Key Objectives (Critical)
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver measurable impact within the contract period:
- 25–30% reduction in manual reporting effort through automation, process redesign, and tooling improvements
- Transition monthly reporting towards ERP-driven outputs (reducing reliance on Excel-based processes)
- Improve data quality, consistency, and KPI definitions across the organisation
- Help to upgrade monthly MI and Board reporting, focusing on clarity, automation, and decision usefulness.
- Introduce or enhance self-service dashboards and reporting capability for budget holders
Core Responsibilities
- Reporting to the FC improve budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling across P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets
- Recommend redesign of monthly reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve speed/accuracy
- Help to develop and implement dashboarding and reporting solutions (Power BI or equivalent)
- Partner with budget holders to translate financial data into actionable insight
- Improve cash flow forecasting and long-range financial planning
- Standardise reporting definitions, templates, and version control
- Contribute to ongoing systems initiatives (including automation and OCR project)
Candidate Profile (Essential)
- ACA / ACCA qualified with strong FP&A or commercial finance background
- Proven track record in:
- FP&A transformation, not just BAU reporting
- Building automated reporting processes and improving data flows
- Advanced Excel (including modelling and Power Query)
- Strong experience with:
- Power BI (data modelling, not just dashboards)
- ERP reporting (ideally improving/automating outputs from system data)
- Ability to operate in a lean SME environment (hands-on, pragmatic, delivery-focused)
Highly Desirable
- Experience implementing or enhancing finance BI/reporting architecture
- Exposure to AI-enabled automation or data tooling in finance
- Experience reducing manual finance processes and driving efficiency gains

Pay: £55,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
