Ipswich High School is seeking a Finance Assistant to help support a small supportive, hardworking and dedicated finance team.
This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring that processes run efficiently and in line with financial procedures and regulations. You will be organised, reliable and able to manage changing priorities in a busy finance environment.
Located on an idyllic 87-acre campus on the banks of the River Orwell, Ipswich High School enjoys an enviable reputation of delivering outstanding academic results whilst maintaining a warm, welcoming and happy community of over 500 pupils, aged 3 – 18.
We are looking for a motivated and detail focused Finance Assistant who:

Supports the smooth running of financial processes, including processing purchase invoices, purchase orders, payments and reconciliations, with accuracy and care.

Keeps financial records up to date and organised, using strong ICT skills and attention to detail.

Responds promptly to queries, supporting colleagues and suppliers in a professional and approachable way, building positive working relationships.

Supports key finance tasks such as reporting, audits and maintaining accurate records.

Takes a proactive, “can do” approach and actively contributes to continuous improvement processes.

Takes pride in their work.

Has strong numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately with financial information.
