THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to develop your leadership skills whilst managing quality food preparation across multiple service periods.
You'll take responsibility for specific areas of our kitchen operation, leading food preparation for breakfast, evening, and weekend services. You'll mentor junior kitchen staff, contribute to menu development, and play a key role in maintaining our high standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead food preparation across assigned kitchen station(s) and service periods
- Oversee food quality, consistency, and presentation standards for your station
- Prepare dishes to specification and ensure service times are met
- Train, supervise, and support junior kitchen staff on your station
- Control food costs, minimize waste, and manage portion sizes
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering requirements
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kitchen environment
- Contribute to menu planning and development discussions
- Suggest operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare special dietary meals and cater to guest requirements (allergies, vegan, etc.)
- Support the wider kitchen team during busy periods
- Assist with staff scheduling and holiday cover planning
- Attend team meetings and training sessions
- Maintain high personal standards of hygiene and appearance
- Handle occasional events, functions, and catering operations
SHIFT PATTERN
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Flexible working across breakfast, evening, and weekend services
- Includes weekend and bank holiday working on rota basis
- Shift times to be agreed based on kitchen rota requirements
- Occasional flexibility for special events and functions
- Meal breaks provided during shifts
Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
