Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician to join our team and drive excellence in equipment maintenance and repair. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on machinery such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly tasks to modify or repair equipment components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete maintenance and repair activities efficiently.
- Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical issues accurately.
- Maintain safety standards during all repair procedures by following proper protocols for heavy lifting, welding, electrical work, and mechanical tasks.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or system upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about repairs needed and estimated timelines to clients or internal teams.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, soldering, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to heavy machinery such as excavators and forklifts.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving power tools and hand tools in a maintenance or service setting.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, electrical experience preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Prior experience working with heavy machinery including excavators or forklifts is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver timely solutions in a professional manner.

Pay: £20,041.10-£44,989.59 per year
