JOB SUMMARY
Derry Live Commerce is an independent early-stage project currently being developed in Derry/Londonderry. The project is exploring a modern approach to live commerce that combines product presentation, short-form video, digital marketing and interactive online shopping.
We are looking for a confident, organised and creative individual to work directly with the founder and contribute to the project’s early development.
This is a broad, hands-on role covering project coordination, research, administration, digital marketing, content creation and live commerce presentation.
THE ROLE
The successful applicant will support the founder with practical day-to-day project activities while helping to plan, create and present engaging digital content.
The position would suit someone who is proactive, adaptable and interested in gaining practical experience across marketing, content creation, administration and early-stage project development.
Previous professional experience is welcome but not essential. Training, practical guidance and ongoing support will be provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the founder with research, planning and project coordination
Assist with day-to-day administrative and organisational tasks
Organise project information, documents and task lists
Help develop and test the live commerce concept
Present products and promotional content in recorded and live videos
Plan and create short-form content for social media
Support digital marketing and promotional activities
Research potential sellers, partners, content creators and customers
Assist with communications, outreach and meeting follow-up
Collect feedback and contribute practical ideas to improve the project and user experience
Complete other reasonable duties connected with the development of the project
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are looking for someone who is:
Confident, professional and comfortable speaking on camera
A clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
Creative, proactive and willing to learn
Comfortable contributing ideas and taking initiative
Interested in digital marketing, social media, content creation, e-commerce or live commerce
Currently living in Derry/Londonderry
Available to attend work, filming, training and meetings in person in Derry/Londonderry
Experience in administration, personal assistance, presenting, sales, marketing, content creation, e-commerce or business support would be beneficial but is not essential.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Training and practical guidance will be provided in areas relevant to the role, including:
Live commerce and on-camera presentation
Content planning and short-form video creation
Social media and digital marketing
Project coordination and business outreach
Administrative and organisational processes
Relevant platforms and digital tools
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
Ongoing, permanent part-time position
A minimum of 8 hours of work per week
Additional hours may be agreed according to project requirements and mutual availability
Primarily an in-person role based in Derry/Londonderry
Working days and the schedule will be agreed with the successful applicant
Pay starts from £12.71 per hour and may be higher depending on experience and responsibilities
