About the Role
We’re after an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to cover a field-based role in the Edinburgh area. You’ll report to our National Service Manager and be the go-to person for client callouts—handling breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance. It’s a hands-on role with plenty of variety and independence, perfect for someone who knows their stuff and takes pride in doing a job well.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Attending refrigeration breakdowns and carrying out top-notch repairs
- Performing regular maintenance checks across client sites
- Keeping everything safe, compliant, and up to standard
- Taking part in our standby rota (usually 1 week in 4)
- Supporting the team on two-person jobs when needed
- Keeping up to date with client systems and new tech
- Managing your own workload and planning your day effectively
- Flagging any training or tools you might need to keep improving
What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in refrigeration, especially supermarket systems
- F-Gas certified
- CO2 experience
- CSCS card in hand
- Confident working with hydrocarbons
- Full UK driving licence
- Good knowledge of health & safety practices
- Flexible and happy to work outside the usual hours when needed
- A good communicator and natural problem-solver who gets things done
