Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Car Body Repairer/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodies, applying paint and finishes to achieve a high-quality finish. Responsibilities
- Repairing damaged vehicle bodies using specialised tools and techniques
- Preparing surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning prior to painting
- Applying primer, paint, and clear coats with precision to ensure a smooth finish
- Matching colours accurately and blending paint seamlessly
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during repair processes
- Conducting quality checks on completed work to meet company standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Assisting with vehicle assembly and disassembly as required during repairs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in car body repair or painting is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and paint sprayers
- Experience with power tools used in automotive bodywork is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or materials
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finishing quality
- Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks effectively
