We're a family run, independent Timber Merchant, offering every range applicable to the building trade. We also have specialist departments in Electrical Supplies, Plumbing Supplies and Bathroom sales.
We are currently looking for capable individuals to join our Yard team on permanent basis.
We are looking for a person with some experience in the Timber and Builders Merchant industry.
They need to be self-motivated, have good communication and have the ability to work well in a team. The candidate needs to be proactive, enthusiastic and energetic and able to work in a busy environment.
Duties
- Operate saw to accurately cut materials according to specifications. FULL TRAINING PROVIDED.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and work orders to determine cutting requirements.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of stock.
- Perform basic maintenance on saw, including cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous timber warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work safely in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
