Part-Time Baker – Algar Lodge Farm Shop & Café
Due to the continued success and growth of our bakery, we're looking to expand our team with an additional Part-Time Baker.
This is a hands-on baking role working alongside our Bakery Team, producing our popular range of homemade cakes, traybakes, cheesecakes, tarts, scones and seasonal sweet treats for our deli counter.
We're looking for someone who has a genuine passion for baking and takes pride in producing fresh, homemade products to a consistently high standard.
The Role
As part of our Bakery Team, you'll help produce a wide variety of homemade baked goods that are stocked daily in our deli.
You'll be responsible for following our recipes, maintaining consistency and quality, and ensuring everything leaving the bakery looks and tastes fantastic.
This is a busy, hands-on role, so we're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing homemade cakes, traybakes, cheesecakes, tarts, scones and other bakery items
- Preparing ingredients and following recipes to ensure consistency and quality
- Producing seasonal and special bakery products
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensuring exceptional presentation across all products
- Helping with stock control and minimising waste
- Keeping the bakery clean, organised and efficient
- Working alongside the rest of the Bakery Team to ensure our deli counter is well stocked
What We're Looking For
- Previous baking experience in a professional kitchen, bakery or similar environment
- A genuine passion for fresh, homemade baking
- Confident producing a variety of cakes, traybakes, cheesecakes and other baked goods
- Creative, enthusiastic and willing to contribute new ideas
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- High standards of food hygiene and attention to detail
- Reliable, hardworking and a great team player

Pay: £14.00 per hour
