Job Overview
New venue is looking for friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Bar Staff to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will provide excellent customer service, prepare and serve drinks efficiently, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment, has a positive attitude, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take and process drink and food orders accurately.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service at all times.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally, escalating where necessary.
Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to company standards.
- Operate tills and process cash and card payments accurately.
- Restock the bar and maintain appropriate stock levels throughout each shift.
- Ensure glassware, bar equipment, and workstations remain clean and well organised.
Venue Standards
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar and customer areas.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Follow all licensing laws and company procedures relating to the responsible sale of alcohol.
- Help maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and customers.
Teamwork
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Support other areas of the business when required during busy periods.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and flexible approach to work.
Requirements
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
