To support our continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Design Manager, whether you're an Assistant Design Manager, Design Manager or Senior Design Manager – we want to hear from you!
The Role
As a Design Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects, managing the design process from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams, you'll ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, buildable, and delivered to the required programme, quality and commercial standards.

The Day to Day
· Manage and coordinate the design process throughout the full project lifecycle
· Lead design development from pre-construction through to construction and completion
· Coordinate design information between clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams
· Review drawings, specifications and technical information to identify design risks and opportunities
· Manage design programmes, deliverables and information release to support the construction programme
· Chair and attend design meetings, ensuring actions are clearly recorded and progressed
· Coordinate technical submissions, approvals, and design changes
· Work closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure design decisions support project requirements and profitability
· Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and project specifications
· Identify and resolve design issues proactively, working collaboratively with project stakeholders
· Support procurement by ensuring design information is accurate, coordinated and available when required
· Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and supply chain partners
Who are you?
· Experience working as a Design Manager within the construction industry
· Experience delivering projects within the industrial, logistics, commercial, retail or related sectors would be advantageous
· Strong understanding of the design and construction process
· Good knowledge of building regulations, construction standards and technical requirements
· Strong design coordination and technical problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
· Commercially aware with an understanding of how design decisions can impact cost, programme and buildability
· Confident working with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
· Ambitious, driven and eager to develop within a high-performing business
· Relevant degree, HNC/HND or equivalent construction/design qualification
· Living within a commutable distance of Market Harborough, Leicestershire
