About the Role: Leeds is known for its rich industrial heritage and thriving modern design scene, and at Armada Ceramics & Tiles UK, we apply that same standard of excellence to our showroom experience. We supply premium tile solutions that elevate spaces from ordinary to extraordinary. We believe that home design consulting should be inspiring and personalized, never transactional. We are looking for a Showroom & Design Consultant who can take ownership of our customer experience. You aren't just selling tiles; you are defining the aesthetic vision for our clients' spaces. You will guide retail clients and trade professionals alike, bridging the gap between technical material requirements and stunning, functional design. You are the design expert in a room full of possibilities.
Why Work With Us? The Environment: Our showroom in Leeds is designed to inspire creativity—featuring expansive display areas, great natural light, and a welcoming atmosphere for both staff and clients. Design Impact: We don't need you to convince us that aesthetics matter. We know they do. You will have a direct hand in shaping projects from initial concept to the final tile selection. Quality Portfolio: We work exclusively with premium porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone collections, so you always have top-tier materials to work with. Growth: You will have access to ongoing product training and professional development to keep your design and technical skills sharp.
Key Responsibilities: Showroom Presentation: Maintain and evolve our showroom displays. Ensure visual consistency and trend alignment across all our physical touchpoints. End-to-End Consultations: Lead the design process from initial discovery and mood-boarding to material specification and accurate quoting. Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with local interior designers, architects, and trade contractors. User & Material Research: Don't just guess. Validate your design assumptions by understanding client needs, spatial constraints, and technical application requirements before orders are placed. Stakeholder Management: Present your design rationale and layout ideas clearly to homeowners and trade partners. You can explain why a specific tile layout works, not just that it looks good.
What We Are Looking For: Experience: Previous background in retail sales, showroom consulting, tile sales, or interior design assistance. Portfolio / Visual Eye: A strong eye for design, color coordination, interior trends, and spatial layout. We want to see your passion for styling spaces. Tooling & Process: Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, basic digital tools, and managing order details accurately. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to engage confidently with diverse clients. Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know when to guide a client toward a timeless classic and when to suggest a bold, modern statement piece.
